  1. Click on Start, Settings and then Control Panel.

  2. Double-click on Network to open the Network Control Panel.

  3. Highlight TCP/IP -> Ethernet card and click Properties...

  4. Click on the IP Address tab. Select the button labeled Specify an IP address.

  6. If your computer does not ask for the Default Gateway, you will need to switch to the Gateway tab. If there are IPs in the Installed Gateway list, select each one and click Remove. Then enter the Gateway IP Address (Router Address) in the New Gateway field. Click Add.

  7. Proceed to the DNS Configuration tab. Select Enable DNS. Enter your hostname in the Host field. Enter your domain in the Domain field. (If you do not have a domain name, please enter "dsl.net".) Enter the IP address of the DNS server (as per the IP Configuration Sheet mailed to you by DSL.net) in the DNS Server field. Click Add. (Field entries shown below are for example only.)

  8. Click OK to save your changes. Click Close (or OK) to save your changes. When prompted, you must shut down and restart your computer for your new settings to take effect.

  9. Do you want to restart your computer now? Click Yes. At this point, you will have completed this setup.
